Caged Frostwolf is the listed name of an orc the Frostwolf clan who was captured during the battle between the Horde and the humans of Stormwind in Elwynn Forest, and later slain.
History
After Medivh's magic killed those orcs that had been given the fel, the Caged Frostwolf was one of the few members of the raiding party left alive. He attempted to flee on his wolf, but aware that he was being pursued turned upon his pursuers. The Frostwolf swiftly dismounted and sent his mount back to attack one of the humans following him, but was then attacked and knocked unconscious by Anduin Lothar, in order to serve as a prisoner. His wolf returned a few moments later for its rider, but when Lothar threatened to kill the Frostwolf if the wolf attacked, it grudgingly retreated into the forest.[1]
The Frostwolf was one of two prisoners taken from the battle, the other being Garona Halforcen. While riding back through the forest in a barred wagon, Lothar attempted to interrogate the Frostwolf, who was unable to understand his human speech. Garona, however, having learned some Common from the prisoners from previous raids, did speak to Lothar, which angered the Frostwolf. After Garona refused to heed his demands to stop talking to the human, the Frostwolf began to wrench himself free from the restraints, and was inches away from tearing out Garona's throat when Lothar thrust his sword into the cage, killing the Frostwolf.[2]
