CVar shadowinstancing

This variable controls the shadow optimization feature, which prevents flickering of the shadows.

This cvar was fixed in 3.2.2, so that users with older drivers won't need to worry about flickering shadows. It's good for older ATI graphics cards which aren't receiving driver updates anymore.

Disabling will result in a decrease in fps.

Alternatively, you can exit wow, open the Config.wtf file, and add the following line:

Patch changes

• Patch 3.2.2 (2009-09-22): Fixed - Default is now 1, and the cvar was fixed to work correctly.
  
• Patch 3.2.0 (2009-08-04): Added - Default was 0.
