Toggles the Profanity Filter.

Changing this setting

In-game, type the following 

/console profanityFilter setting

Alternatively, you can exit wow, open the Config-cache.wtf file, and add the following line: 

SET profanityFilter setting

Patches

  • WoW Icon update.png Patch 1.7.0 (2005-09-13): Now applies to Guild Ranks & player notes
  • WoW Icon update.png Patch 1.6.0 (2005-07-12): Now applied when drunk
