Bristlefur is the wyvern mount of Valeera Sanguinar. Valeera stole him from Tarm, when fleeing from her new gladiator master, Helka Grimtotem. She rode him to Thunder Bluff, Warsong Gulch, Teldrassil and Dustwallow Marsh where Valeera fought against an assassin and his gryphon. Aegwynn found the exhausted Valeera and told her that someone would take care of the wyvern, which had crashed during the aerial fight.

Valeera, being reunited with her friends, found herself in a miss of the wyvern but it was indicated by Broll that Bristlefur has his freedom now.
