Brian Birmingham is a former lead software engineer at Blizzard Entertainment. He worked on World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic.[1]
Birmingham claims he was fired from Blizzard after protesting a compulsory employee ranking system. Birmingham said he refused to drop some staff from a "successful" category to "developing" in order to hit this quota, and also refused to work until the policy had been revoked. According to his email, Birmingham was later terminated after speaking with HR.[2]
