Blackened Urn is provided when you start the quest  [70R] Nightbane. It was once needed to summon the boss Nightbane in Karazhan.

Notes

After you completed the quest, you kept the urn so you could summon Nightbane again in the future. Only one person in the raid needed to have the urn.

Now you can use the urn located on the ground in the Master's Terrace in Karazhan.
