- This item's name and icon are possibly a reference to the Vogons of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, in which the Vogon brain is described as having evolved from "a badly deformed, misplaced and dyspeptic liver".
- It may also be a reference to an incident where an American found what is believed to be a chicken brain in his KFC meal. After being reported on the 26 of October 2010, the company commented that the tissue was most probably a liver despite all evidence of it being a brain. [1]
