Ahead of the Curve (shortened as AOTC) refers to the achievements that are earned by defeating the final raid boss on Heroic difficulty prior to the next season or expansion release. The raid achievements during Mists of Pandaria instead required Normal difficulty. Cutting Edge achievements are the last set of these feat achievements and require to face the bosses under Mythic difficulty.
The last raid of the expansion introduces a limited-time mount which will be unobtainable when the next raid tier or expansion releases, and are one of the few limited time mounts of which are not planned to return to the Trading Post.[1]
