Many Acolytes in Hiding lived masquerading as normal villagers in Vandermar until the death knight Arthas Menethil came to regroup them. Arthas came just in time, as several acolytes fell under suspicion of the local town guard. Arthas gathered the cultists and saved those in danger, destroying the village in the process. The acolytes began serving Arthas and openly acting once more as members of the Cult of the Damned.[1]
