template

Epic, is used for the color display Epic is used for linking, you cant combine the 2. be so kind to revert them. 04:00, 16 Dec 2005 (EST)

I didn't link them - added linked brackets. For the last time, please sign your posts (at least on my user talk page) any more unsigned posts here will be deleted. --  ℑilver§ℑide 12:02, 16 Dec 2005 (EST)
either way, the way you aparently solved it (Epic) looks like crap in: [Rogue_resist_guide], if you feel like changing a template at least make sure it looks ok, or discuss before you change such a thing which would affect a document style. Perhaps remove the white brackets? CJ 03:48, 19 Dec 2005 (EST)
Fixed it Epic Rare Legendary Uncommon CJ 04:34, 19 Dec 2005 (EST)

Making these templates (to me) is a stroke of genious. I wouldn't have thought of it myself. It's a pretty good idea. However, the colors don't match Thottbot's CSS formatting. This is far from critical though, and shouldn't be changed on my account, but I think the colors Thott uses are very close if not exactly what colors are used ingame. However, I think the link-blue brackets for linking is a terrible idea. The item name, when linked ingame, is colored the given color along with brackets around it. While it would be hard to read the names of epic items in that specific color, maybe we can use the color you've chosen (whoever you is) because it's a readable color. The next step is to have the name of the item and have brackets around it in the same color as the chosen Epic, Rare, Legendary, or Uncommon. For instance:

  • [Bonebiter] (using whatever color is agreed upon for rare; this is the color used by Thott), when it's not linked, or
  •  [Bonebiter] ], when it's linked (this doesn't work as is; I don't know how to make it work)

Or maybe drop the brackets. Just ideas. I know that a lot of my ideas are incomplete, so I'd like comments on those, and I tend to get a lot of ideas from other people's ideas. Take it for what it's worth. In case my idea is chosen, of course, the template would take the name of the item as a parameter. Then, additionally, the template could append a link to the rarity of the item:

Bonebiter (Rare)

Fixed. Use the {{itemlink|NAME|COLOR|NUMBER}} - for instance, {{itemlink|Bonebiter|Rare|5821}} makes [Bonebiter]. --  ℑilver§ℑide 08:55, 21 Dec 2005 (EST)

Community Portal question

Would you be so kind as to help me understand how it is on the Community portal page you were able to make header tags (i.e., == ==) work inside a table.

level 3 tag

This is fixed by putting the header code on a new line after the pipe.

It doesn't work normally as you can see, but for some reason it does work on your Community portal page. Thank you for any assistance you can provide. --Mazian 12:09, 16 Dec 2005 (EST)

Examples speak better than words:

level 3 tag

This is fixed by putting the header code on a new line after the pipe.

Right? Feel free to ask me any other questions - I helped to write the code that parses the syntax, I should think I know my way around a bit (-: --  ℑilver§ℑide 12:31, 16 Dec 2005 (EST)
Thanks, the problem is putting the == == on the same line as the pipe |. By amending the table so that the header comes on a seperate line, the interpreter will do what I want. I appreciate the help. --Mazian 13:09, 16 Dec 2005 (EST)

Hi SilverSide would you please pay a look at my comment on the languages' page ? Thank you.--Kirochi 06:33, 29 Dec 2005 (EST)

Character usertable

Help? Thank you for updating my characters with your table. its nice and neat. Couple of comments: 1) add column for each tradeskills skill level? 2) I tried to add a URL link to the WWN data page of my main character but it messed up your table wonderfully - any way to fix it? --Dracomage 16:42, 20 Dec 2005 (EST)
