Vanity redirects

The policy exists, though I forget where it is officially documented.--SWM2448 04:05, 11 April 2011 (UTC)

Fair enough, thanks for the explanation. Is there any way to add some sort of notification that the page was removed because vanity redirects from the main namespace are not allowed? Or a check when a page is being saved that it is not a redirect to the Guild namespace. I know when I was doing my first article it flagged it as not being compliant with the guild policy, which gave to me an opportunity to research what was wrong and fix it. This is very helpful because it taught me the right way to do it and saved an administrator the time of having to flag it. I am more than willing to help with stuff, just still coming up to speed on wikis Weldrock (talk) 11:17, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
Okay, I should have told you that I deleted them and why. I am sorry.--SWM2448 17:45, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
No worries man, was more asking is there some sort of something within a wiki that can check a submitted page and flag a warning if it has a #REDIRECT that has things like "Guild:" in the link portion. More a wiki capabilities question than fishing for an apology :) Weldrock (talk) 23:15, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
