Editing & Sandboxes

Please take a moment to read the editing help pages, it might help you achieve what you are trying to do. It is preferable to avoid making a large number of small edits in a short period of time to a single page, as it clutters the RecentChanges and the by area‎&action=history edit history of the page. You can preview your changes without saving by making use of the "Show preview" button at the bottom of the edit box. Also it's helpful if you can provide a brief summary in the "Edit summary" box before saving, e.g. "corrected mob health", "added a screenshot", or one of the many standard edit summaries (if none of the standard ones fit, please just describe your changes).

If you do need to save the page to see the results, please consider playing around on one of the public Project:Sandboxes (choose one which doesn't appear to be under current use), or create a personal sandbox at User:Sanmalice/Sandbox/442. Sandboxes allow you to play around with page layouts, etc without cluttering the main edit histories, and you can make your changes to the real page once you are happy with them. My first major contribution

Anybody that comes to my talk page can see what I have spent pretty much all of my time on here at Wowwiki (very little time compared to so many amazing contributors), Ore by area and significant additions to Herbs by area. I appreciate comments from User:Coobra and him pointing me in the right direction to get educated on editing Wowpedia. Of course my real passion is playing the game, but I also feel significantly indebted to those who have spent millions of hours making Wowpedia a wonderful resource and tool to make the game more enjoyable in so many ways. Moved ore by area to list of ore by zone as it seems to fit with the convention of page titles in wiki-land. Hope this does not bother you, but I think the pages I have moved are better this way. // ProjektTHOR (talk) 02:31, September 14, 2009 (UTC)

No Worries ProjektTHOR, makes sense to me and you seem to understand naming/editing/formatting conventions better than I do, I kind of got frustrated trying to find/understand the conventions, but that is my issue and probably because I am more of a wowwiki user than contributor. :D Sanmalice (talk) 20:08, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
