Adminship

Yea verily, I am not Kirkburn, but perhaps I can offer some comments you might find useful.

An admin's powers include imposing blocks on other users. That involves a lot of trust, which a first-time poster will not realistically have gathered. Other powers include deleting pages, and marking particular pages protected. I do not think these powers would be of any assistance to you. Should you need one of those things done, you can always ask an existing admin for help. Still, if you wish to pursue becoming an admin, you should look at Becoming an admin.

On the other hand, there are things you can do as a nomral user. If you want to retain complete "authority" over a page, you should create it as a sub-page of your user page. (IE name it something like "User:Biscuit12/YourPageNameHere") Common convention is that a person's user page and sub pages are their "personal space". Unless some issue such as Project:3RR comes up, you are unlikely to have problems.

However, you mentioned you wanted it to be a petition. WoWwiki isn't well suited to that, but it's possible. You would NOT really have authority over the page, even as an admin. If you want to monitor the page closely and prevent vandalism, you can click the option to "watch this page", and examine your Watchlist regularly.

You might also consider using a forum page instead.

I hope this has been of some assistance to you. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 20:48, November 4, 2009 (UTC)

No worries. Depending on the results you had on You Tube, you might want to direct people on one (You Tube, wowwiki) to show their support on the other, lest you have two separate petitions, instead of just one. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 23:14, November 4, 2009 (UTC)

Petition page

SWM2448 has pointed out that the page was deleted under the DNP policy. Looking that policy over, I can only guess that he deemed it "off-topic", as a petition would contain neither copyrighted content, speculation, non-english (presumably), or defamatory content. You will need to contact him about changing his decision. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 00:43, November 5, 2009 (UTC)
