User:Xporc/Twitter links
Twitter is going to start deleting accounts that have been inactive for more than 30 days.
It is generally unreliable to simply link to a tweet without at the very least copypasting its text on wowpedia.
List of links
- See also: User:Xporc/Twitter links/HTTPS tweets
- HTTP links (59 left, down from unknown starting number)
- HTTP links (2.718 left, down from 2.996)
Concentrate on links with "/status/" in the URL since the others are presumably just links to someone's homepage.
How to fix
Replace the old links by something like this: <ref>{{tw|https://web.archive.org/web/20210226154509/http://twitter.com/Burnzerker/status/839605221990944768|2017-03-08|Matt Burns|I think some of that still could have happened. We are just presenting things from very high up.}}</ref>
<ref>{{tw|qdfdfdsfsdf|2017-03-08|Matt Burns|qdfdfdsfsdf}}</ref>
Alternatively, if a link already exists with such formatting: <ref>{{Ref web|url=https://twitter.com/muffinus/status/995093760882106368|title=Jeremy Feasel on Twitter|date=2018-05-12|accessdate=2020-04-10}}</ref> then I can simply add a section like this: |quote=''Finaling week secret leek: ok tameable horse2s. Have a happy weekend. :)''
If not on the Wayback Machine, the tweet might still be archived on archive.today (copypaste tweet URL in the search engine)
If the tweet really, absolutely can't be found, use {{dead link}}, but that won't remove it the list of links...
