Jael Nordax (ジャーエル・ノールダクス, Jāeru Nōrudakusu) is a Nobody-turned-Shinigami, and currently one of the members of Logan's team.
Appearance
Jael Nordax is a tall shinigami with hazel eyes and straight brownish-gray hair. His hair hangs loosely and forms a large bang that covers the right half of his face. He wears standard Shinigami robes (that seem to regenerate as he is healed from his wounds, acting more or less as current health and spiritual power indicator) and a simple armband with Qun insignia on his left arm.
Powers & Abilities
Master Swordsmanship Specialist: Jael Nordax is a highly skilled combatant in various swordsmanship techniques. He is able to hold his own against most opponents, even those surpassing him in raw power and brute strength.
- Whip Mastery: Jael is shown to be quite masterful with a whip-like weapon. He is able to move Haukage's Shikai form with little effort, able to control the direction of the attack with great ease to better confuse the enemy,. One of his favorite moves is wrapping his sword around the enemy's weapon to tear it from their hands, leaving them defenseless.
Kidō Practitioner: He possesses a great talent for Kidō. Although he is not strong enough to wield any higher than rank eleven without chanting full incantation, those in his arsenal Jael Nordax uses with high skill and precision.
Enhanced Durability: He can take quite a lot of punishment and remain capable of fighting back, remarkable even for one of the Eternals.
Enhanced Speed: Jael Nordax has speed that exceeds that of lesser Hollows or Nobodies and Heartless by a large margin. He can easily keep up with most of those he meets, although he is not quite fast enough to dodge some powerful spells, as shown in his battle against Xal Gerion.
Immense Spiritual Power: Though stripped of much of his potential by Joren Daal, he possesses a great level of spiritual power, fitting one of the original Nobodies. Being a Visored Jael Nordax possesses a dual type spiritual energy, part Shinigami and part Hollow.
Zanpakutō
Haukage (う影; "Creeping Shadow"): In its sealed form, Haukage is an average (if somewhat longer than ordinary) katana with a white and gold hilt-wrapping and simple oval-shaped tsuba. He wears it at his waist.
- Shikai: His release command is "Dance with the night" (夜と踊れ; yoru to odore). Dark purple glow envelops the blade as it changes smoothly, its curvature increasing noticeably and its tip becoming heavier. The metal becomes murky and liquid-like in appearance, sprouting small shadowy tendrils along its length at random every few seconds. From white and gold the hilt turns to black and violet, with silken ribbons attached to its end. In addition, a gauntlet appears on his weapon (left) hand, going all the way up to the elbow, elaborate and sleek, made of some ebony metal, decorated with silvery engravings and socketed with amethysts. When Haukage is used as a whip, it is split into numerous solid fragments, their number growing to incredible heights. The fragments are connected by shadowy thread-like material and sprout bladed tendrils upon contact with solid object, either lacerating it or latching themselves onto it. Jael Nordax commonly uses it in long sweeps and can make it instantly change directions with a simple fluid motion. He can retract it back to him with ease. Although at first he could only perform four consecutive attacks before having to bring the segments back together, after some practice that number grew.
- Shikai Special Ability: Haukage possesses the ability to manipulate shadows.
- Yami ni Arui (闇に歩い; Walking into Darkness): Using this technique, Jael Nordax can walk between shadows cast by material objects, allowing him to quickly change his location on the battlefield to escape an attack and/or close upon his adversary. He can also attack his enemy by stabbing their own shadow.

Hollowfication
Hollow Mask: His Hollow mask takes the form of a grinning skull with two heavy, long horns on each side that curl backwards and upwards, each horn carrying two golden rings. Over his left eye-hole there are two yellow stripes, forming a tilted 'X'.
- Power Augmentation: While wearing the mask, Jael's Hollow powers supplement his Shinigami powers, giving him a vast increase in both strength and durability.
- Cero: In this form Jael Nordax displays an ability of firing off a golden-hued Cero from the palm of his right hand, strong enough to vaporize lesser Nobodies and break through powerful spells.
- Bala: Jael can also fire golden Bala blasts from his right hand, which are weaker than Cero blasts, but are also much faster. He is quite skilled at firing a multitude of these in quick succession.
