Veritas is a guild formed on friendship and a relaxed playing atmosphere while striving to challenge themselves with new content. Even though they are a strict 10 man raiding guild, they run various other events. They are comprised mostly of professionals and students of a variety of ages.

Veritas is a raiding guild with a very strong casual/social atmosphere. They function under a "work hard, party harder" mentality when it comes to WoW. The "work" is raiding 10s, and the "party" is all the other stuff. They have many members who work on achievements, old world raids, grinding rep, PvP and just about everything. Some things are scheduled and some are spontaneous.

History

This guild was originally formed by Clairn. He got sick of his old guilds and started this one up in his levelling days. They have been raiding since Wrath of the Lich King. Many of the founding members are still in <Veritas>, and membership has gone through many stages, such as the requisite fall-outs between members and the recruitment drives. <Wrath of the Amazons> merged with <Veritas> in early July 2010.

Guild rules

  • The guild focus is being a guild as a family. Join in, have fun, group up, and generally have fun with your fellow guildies! You don't have to be super social, but try to talk a bit in /g to show you still like us.
    • You carry the guild's name above your head at all times - don't do things that will bring a bad name to our guild.
    • Be polite, helpful, and nice. Don't troll trade, ninja, or any other things that would bring contempt to the guild.
    • If anyone is found being disrespectful, they will be given strikes worthy of the offense. At 3 strikes, we will re-evaluate a member's position in the guild.
  • We mainly use a /roll system, however, loot distribution is subject to the raid leader's discretion.
    • Know what loot is appropriate for your class. That means no DKs rolling on caster cloth.
