Abilities
Cleaving Talons — Ynnilith strikes multiple targets with her melee ability.- Shatter — Destroys the platform Ynnilith is currently on, sending all targets on it plummeting into the abyss below to their doom. Players must utilize the webbing strands around the platform to swing to a new one to avoid being dropped into the abyss.
- Grand Weave — Ynnilith conjures up a powerful series of spells of either Frost, Shadow, or Plague and uses them to attack her enemies.
- Shell of Darkness — Protects Ynnilith from damage by absorbing attacks. Sufficient attacks will shatter the shell, exposing Ynnilith.
- Nerubian Shellcasters — After a Shell of Darkness is broken, Ynnilith will cast a Grand Weave spell. Periodically during a Grand Weave, Nerubian Shellcasters will spawn and attempt to restore Ynnilith's Shell of Darkness.
- Shell Restoration — Places a stacking buff on Ynnilith. When it reaches 100, her Shell of Darkness is restored. Interruptible.
- Spell Focus — When a Shellcaster is interrupted, the Shellcaster gains Spell Focus, a stacking buff that nullifies one interrupt ability. Each time a Shellcaster is interrupted, it will gain increasing stacks of Spell Focus.
Grand Frost Weave
Ynnilith gains the powers of Frost and the following abilities.
- Frozen Ground — Random targets have the ground beneath them covered in frost. Players that stand on frosty ground take periodic damage and will slide to the edge of the frost. Players can slide along multiple frost patches, which if they are not careful will send them sailing out into the abyss.
- Frozen Webbing — Several random targets are bound in Frozen Webbing, restricting their movement. Frozen Webbing can be attacked and destroyed, allowing the target to move again.
- Column of Frost — Ynnilith breathes a column of lethal frost magic while slowly turning. Ynnilith will cast this after using Frozen Webbing.
- Crystallize — Ynnilith will imprison several random targets in blocks of ice. Targets trapped in ice blocks cannot move or act, and take periodic frost damage. Ice blocks can be attacked and destroyed the free the trapped target. Attacking the ice block will cause it to slide away from the attacker based on the damage dealt, and if an ice block strikes a patch of frost it will slide along it. When the block is shattered, the target and nearby players will take a burst of damage and any nearby ice blocks will also shatter.
Grand Shadow Weave
Ynnilith gains the powers of Shadow and the following abilities.
- Shadow Gale — A blast of dark energy that damages and knocks the target in the direction of the blast.
- Shadow Eruption — Random targets are afflicted with Shadow Eruption, which causes an explosion of dark energy after a short time and spawns a Shadow Fissure. Shadow Fissures deal massive periodic damage to those standing in them and periodically releases waves of dark energy in random directions.
- Dark Skitterers — Huge spiders will descend from the darkness and grasp random targets, pulling them slowly up into the darkness. If these creatures are not rapidly destroyed, their hapless victims will be swung off into the abyss.
Grand Plague Weave
Ynnilith gains the powers of Decay and the following abilities.
- Infestation — Several random targets receive this debuff, which deals periodic nature damage and attempts to spread to other nearby targets. When Infestation spreads, its duration is reset.
- Plaguestruck — Stuns and binds several random targets in plagued webbing, preventing them from moving. Nearby players can click on the webbing to drag them to safety, with more players clicking allowing for greater speed. Players in the webs and dragging the webs suffer periodic nature damage.
- Purge — Covers vast swathes of the platform with a deadly plague that deals massive periodic damage.
- Festering Swarm — Ynnilith conjures swarms of biting insects that will rapidly destroying those caught in them. Certain targets will be granted Eye of the Swarm, which creates a safe area around them that the swarm will not intrude on.
Strategy
Ynnilith's chamber is filled with massive stone platforms suspended by her webbing. When the heroes engage her, she will attempt to shatter the platform she is on, sending her attackers plummeting down into oblivion. Ynnilith will then move along her webbing overhead to another platform. Players can use strands of webbing to swing to safety before the platform is destroyed.
Ynnilith is constantly cloaked in a damage-asborbing shield called Shell of Darkness. Whenever it absorbs sufficient damage it will break, stunning Ynnilith for a short time and leaving her vulnerable. Ynnilith will then cast a Grand Weave spell and use all of the abilities it affords her while calling on nerubian Shellcasters to restore her Shell of Darkness. When it is restored, Ynnilith will cease her Grand Weave spells and begin to shatter the platforms once again. The battle continues until Ynnilith is slain.
Ynnilith's Grand Weave spell is chosen at random, and she will use all three types before repeating herself.
