Abilities

  • Ability socererking arcanemines.png Malediction of the Void Lords — Grants the n'raqi with this buff a unique set of abilities.
  • Ability socererking arcanemines.png Void Rifts — All n'raqi will have 4 Void Rifts manifest near them when the encounter begins.

Phase One

Malediction N'raqi Abilities

  • Ability socererking arcanemines.png Tear the Void — The n'raqi will release a wave of destructive Void energies at a random Void Rift, dealing damage to anyone it strikes. The Void Rift that is hit by Tear the Void will cause the corresponding Void Rift next to the other n'raqi to become Empowered.
  • Ability socererking arcanemines.png Gaze of Madness — Inflicts a random target with Gaze of Madness, which causes damage over time. When it expires, it causes a blast of dark energy that damages all nearby targets and fears them. The initial target of this spell and any targets struck by the blast will receive Crumbling Sanity.
    • Ability socererking arcanemines.png Crumbling Sanity — Crumbling Sanity deals periodic damage and stacks every second, dealing greater damage over time, though the debuff's timer will not reset when it stacks and will expire after 30 seconds. If the debuff expires, the target will become permanently mind controlled. This debuff cannot be cleansed, it can only be removed when Malediction of the Void is removed from a n'raqi. Those afflicted with this debuff cannot become the targets of Gaze of Madness, but if they are affected by the blast from another target's Gaze of Madness they will become permanently mind controlled.
  • Ability socererking arcanemines.png Cosmic Darkness — Cast at 60% and 20% health. The n'raqi will teleport all targets to his current location and cast Cosmic Darkness, which surrounds him with numerous whirling clouds of destructive Void energy that rapidly destroy anything they touch.
    • Ability socererking arcanemines.png Darkness Nova — A short time after casting Cosmic Darkness, the n'raqi will unleash Darkness Nova, instantly slaying any nearby targets. This also transfers the Malediction of the Void to the n'raqi with the highest health.
  • Ability socererking arcanemines.png Madness Made Flesh — Whenever a Crumbling Sanity debuff is removed, three Madness Made Flesh monsters will spawn that will attempt to rend apart nearby targets with vicious physical attacks. An additional monster will spawn for every additional stack of Crumbling Sanity removed.

N'raqi Abilities

  • Ability socererking arcanemines.png Empowered Void Rift — Periodically, a Void Rift near a n'raqi without Malediction will become empowered due to the spell Tear the Void, allowing the n'raqi to gain Void Power. At 100 Void Power, the n'raqi will cast Void Nova.
    • Ability socererking arcanemines.png Void Nova — Deals massive damage to all targets.
  • Ability socererking arcanemines.png Tendril — Deals a burst of physical damage to the target and reduces the healing they receive for a short time.
  • Ability socererking arcanemines.png Rend Reality — The n'raqi unleashes a wave of disruptive energy in the direction of the neart target. The wave deals massive damage to anything it strikes. The wave also disrupts Empowering Void Rifts, shutting them down and preventing them from granting Void Power.
  • Ability socererking arcanemines.png Feed on your Sanity — Conjures a large vortex on the n'raqi's nearest target, and after a short time it will burst, creating a huge zone of dark energy at the target's location. Anyone crossing into this zone will have their Crumbling Sanity debuff reset to 1, which will cause a Madness Made Flesh creature to spawn for every stack removed.
  • Ability socererking arcanemines.png Rage of the Faceless — Attacks the nearest target, causing heavy periodic damage. Used whenever there are no targets in melee.
  • Ability socererking arcanemines.png Devouring Darkness — Conjures disruptive clouds of Void energy that encircle the n'raqi, dealing lethal damage to anyone who touches them. Gained while below 60% health.

Phase Two

When all n'raqi are below 20%, or when one of the n'raqi is slain, they will all gain Malediction of the Void Lords and use the following abilities.

  • Ability socererking arcanemines.png Cosmic Darkness — Surrounds the n'raqi with numerous whirling clouds of destructive Void energy that rapidly destroy anything they touch.
  • Ability socererking arcanemines.png Tear the Void — The n'raqi will release a wave of destructive Void energies when facing a random Void Rift, dealing damage to anyone it strikes. The Void Rift that is hit by Tear the Void will cause the corresponding Void Rift next to the other n'raqi to become Empowered.
  • Ability socererking arcanemines.png Empowering Void Rifts  — Periodically, a Void Rift near a n'raqi will become an Empowering Void Rift and channel energy onto them, placing a stacking Void Power buff on them. At 15 stacks, the n'raqi will unleash Void Nova, dealing massive damage to all targets.
  • Ability socererking arcanemines.png Manifest the Madness — The n'raqi will cast this on a random target, causing them to erupt with dark energy which fears any other targets struck by the blast. The initial target and any struck by the blast spawn 3 Madness Made Flesh creatures.
  • Ability socererking arcanemines.png Void Rebirth — 30 seconds after a n'raqi is slain, it will revive with 20% health.

Strategy

The Troika Unspeakable are three spell-caster n'raqi. They are stationary and do no move at all during the encounter. The three n'raqi are all identical and have the same health and abilities. Their abilities are modified based on whether or not they have the Malediction of the Void Lords buff. Ha'sh begins the encounter with Malediction. The n'raqi with Malediction of the Void does not need to be tanked, as they will not use any direct attacks but rely solely on spells that affect random targets.

N'raqi without Malediction must be tanked, as they will make attacks on their nearest target and this can be catastrophic if their abilities are focused on targets within the larger raid group. Those tanking the n'raqi must also goad them into using their Rend Reality ability to disrupt Empowered Void Rifts, preventing the n'raqi from gaining Void Power.

When a n'raqi with Malediction has their health reduced to 60%, the Malediction will be removed and transfer to the n'raqi with the highest health. This will cleanse all Crumbling Sanity debuffs, resulting in Madness Made Flesh creatures spawning. A n'raqi that loses Malediction will teleport all targets to itself and channel Cosmic Darkness, followed by Darkness Nova. Heroes must navigate the Cosmic Darkness and get away from the n'raqi before they cast Darkness Nova. They must also ensure to control their Crumbling Sanity levels so that they are not overwhelmed by too many Madness Made Flesh creatures. During the transfer of Malediction, the other two n'raqi will simply channel a spell called Beseech the Void, which prevents them from making any other attacks. When Beseech the Void ends, the n'raqi with the highest health will be granted Malediction of the Void. The other two n'raqi will behave as normal.

In order to manage Crumbling Sanity, the growing stacks must be reset to 1 using the spell Feed on your Sanity, cast by n'raqi without Malediction. The two n'raqi without Malediction will alternate casts of this spell. Their target will spawn a dark zone that absorbs Crumbling Sanity stacks, resetting the debuff to 1 and spawning Madness Made Flesh creatures. This allows for a controlled spawning of Madness Made Flesh monsters. Unless proper use of this tactic is used, huge numbers of Madness Made Flesh creatures will spawn when Malediction is transferred, overwhelming the heroes.

When a n'raqi dies or when all three n'raqi are below 20% health, all the n'raqi will gain Malediction and use their abilities as described in Phase Two. With all three using Tear the Void, all 4 Void Rifts will rapidly become Empowered, and as they do not use Rend Reality there is no way to disrupt Empowered rifts. Therefore, all 3 n'raqi will rapidly be gaining Void Power. They will shortly thereafter annihilate the heroes through gaining enough Void Power to unleash Void Nova, and if all three n'raqi are not slain quickly the dead ones will revive.

Mythic Changes

  • Each n'raqi gains a unique ability.
