Regions vs. Zones

Please see my comments at Main page discussion, Response to Regions vs. Zones.

Usually we are in harmony, but this time have to strongly disagree with your identification and plan for regions vs. zones.

Lore

Wow, you're setting up the outlines for so much lore! Great job. -- AlexanderYoshi 03:24, 24 Dec 2004 (EST)

Great stuff on all the creatures

I want to generally give you kudos for all the work you've done, but just noticed the work you've been doing on Creatures and Creature Types filling in stuff.

Images

Please do not make the images I add into thumbs

They are made as pngs with transparency so they can appear at the top of the page neatly.

Oh, sorry about that. Do you mean Alpha transparency? I'm a die-hard IE user, and we won't be getting alpha-transparency support until IE7. Probably looks a lot better on your end. :)

Have you thought about right-aligning them? (instead of writing "thumb" in an image tag, write "right", in case you didn't know, but you probably do.) I'm one of those types who loves to have text flowing around pictures, rather than having them on their own line.

I didn't realize I had my own Talk page until just now. Heh, oops.

Sweet! I'll fix that, I too wanted them on the right with flowing text, but hated the "thumb" format and how it worked, I'll fix any I can remember. Feel free to do the same with any you find.

Question on the Reincarnation update:

Do you know if Blizzard have announced it? because I haven't seen any announcement from them in the Shaman or in the General community about it. If it isn't a bother, can you link it to the page? Thanks, man. --Kultath 23:58, 9 Mar 2005 (EST)

Reply

It's kinda a moot point now, I suppose. It was on Blizzard's Patch Update page on worldofwarcraft.com, but now that the patch is out, you can ask any shaman if it's there. I tried it out yesterday (not on purpose, of course), and confirmed that it doesn't give res-sickness. Though it still gives back a piddly amount of health & mana.

Blog

Some nice shots there, very enjoyable. Considered entering a few in the "Beautiful Vista" screen shot competition? --RoJ 16:56, 22 Mar 2005 (EST)

I agree, on both points! --OwlBoy 07:32, 7 Apr 2005 (EDT)

European Server

Man, that a lotta pages!

Thanks for adding those.

Ahn'Qiraj

Why did you, under Ahn'Quiraj, say "The correct spelling according to the ingame map is..."? It's spelled that way already. -- D. F. Schmidt talk 12:37, 30 Aug 2005 (EDT)

True, but I've seen it spelled a lot of different ways, and I was confused, so I thought I'd find out for sure what it was and make sure everyone else did too. :)
--FeldmanSkitzoid 14:43, 22 Sep 2005 (EDT)

Refuge Pointe is in the same situation, except this one is Blizzard's fault, somewhat. Ingame, if you go the outpost in Arathi Highlands, it says "Refuge Pointe". But on Blizzard's interactive map, it says "Refuge Point". Since ingame matters more than Blizzard's interactive map, it should be called Refuge Pointe. But, because of the map, I thought that was right, and I moved the article, and changed the links thereto. Ugh! Just thought you'd like to know that much. One of these days, maybe I'll change it back. Schmidt talk 02:38, 3 Oct 2005 (EDT)

No people look ANYWHERE and you'll see that it is Ahn'Qiraj and not anything else !--Kirochi 16:36, 28 Jan 2006 (EST)

Formulas and Game Mechanics

Thanks for the work and reformatting in this section, I was wondering if we could have this as a Main Page category instead of Combat subcategory. Stilpu 04:27, 16 Sep 2005 (EDT)

User:FeldmanSkitzoid:Home

User:FeldmanSkitzoid:Home should be moved to User:FeldmanSkitzoid/Home, in the same manner as user:D. F. Schmidt/Paia. Notice that, if you follow my link, you can visit my main user page. This goes for any articles followed by a slash. User talk:BaldMonkey/ItemUse is another example. I'd move it, but I don't want to tread on your space, plus you might need to update any bookmarks. Schmidt talk 02:38, 3 Oct 2005 (EDT)

Enchanting by Item

Have you abandoned Enchanting by Item, or has something replaced it? If you've abandoned it, you might want to redirect it (although nothing is linked to it), or add the {{delete}} tag on it. If you're working on it, you might want to link to it from some page regarding enchanting. Schmidt talk 11:53, 9 Oct 2005 (EDT)

Oh wow, forgot all about that. I probably will start again, because that's a pretty handy way to search for enchants.

Welcome

Welcome to WoWWiki! Hope you can help the community and vice versa (-:
If you have any questions, I would be happy to answer them, or you could drop them at the reference desk (where I might answer them anyway)!
Just wanted to say welcome, and to encourage you to contribute!

Want to help? Join a team!

Also, if you are here to help the community as a whole (and not just edit an article or two that you noticed needed changing), then I suggest you check out the various community teams - we could always use some help! Find one that suits you and leave a message on it's join page!

 ℑilver§ℑide

P.S. - I would particularly like to get you in on the Help Team (perhaps even as leader) and the Commentators - and I am sure that the leader of the Bookkeepers would like you in his team too (-:

Any comments? I am sure some other team leaders would love to see you on their team! --  ℑilver§ℑide 13:05, 13 Dec 2005 (EST)

Outland locations.

Did you find these out looking at the behind the scenes DVD? or is the Information elsewhere?

(I ask cuz I see that you updated your blog recently with tiny screenshots of the Behind the Scenes DVD.)

--OwlBoy 15:14, 21 Dec 2005 (EST)

I think most of the locations that I've put in as Zones are from the Blizz's Burning Crusade page, or from published magazines (no unpublished internet scans, naturally), or from maps from previous games.
