Chaos Theory was a 25 man raiding guild in Burning Crusade. It was known as 51st Mercs in the vanilla Wow days and then to with the burning crusade expansion was renamed under new leadership to focus more on progression. The guild master was Sully, who had previously raided with top guilds in Vanilla Wow, Aq20, Aq40, Naxx. At the peak of Smolderthorn Choas Theory was one of the top guilds that had a thriving community. I remember Sully and his officers would run multiple runs of Karazhan, Gruul, Mag, SSC, and BT on alts to get members geared up.

Chaos Theory started quite a few trends on the server, they started the first server wide raid runs, where people in the forums could post to reserve a spot in a run and under the leadership of chaos theory players who might not normally get to raid or just wanted to have fun in an open competitive atmosphere to see how they ranked up dps wise with other players got to put their skills to the test. These runs were very successful and created a great community.

Chaos Theory also started runs for gold, gearing up people who paid gold for runs through high end raids. CT was famous for their Amani bear runs, being one of the first guilds to get the bears and especially getting them for all their main core players. Sully used to run 4-5 of them himself with him tanking the majority of them. Chaos Theory sadly came to an end towards the final 6 months of Burning Crusade, mainly because of a dying smolderthorn. There was very little talent and serious raiders left on the server. With lots of guilds struggling to find strong players and hurting their progression, Chaos Theory disbanded and Sully and a few of his officers joined Sad Panda who had previously beat Illidan once and was not able to do so again. With Sully tanking for Sad Panda and being one of the top dps, Sad Panda was able to put Illidan back on farm status and went on to kill Kil'jaeden. Once Wrath launched, Chaos Theory was started by a couple officers of the old CT. Sully had transferred off the server with a few close friends and it is rumored he went on to join one of the top US guilds. CT also went on to play league of legends and continue to do so today having plat and challenger tier players.
