The Forgotten Pool is a completely submerged cavern located within Blackfathom Deeps. It was the location of Old Serra'kis, and can be accessed by swimming past the Moonshrine Ruins. The pool is a dead-end, and was only used to battle its now-removed boss.
It was used by the Guardian of the Deep as a new lair to spawn its brood, but Horde adventurers laid the beast low before the problem could multiply. After the Fourth War, Rexxar and Zekhan checked the area and confirmed that Ashenvale remains free of the Guardian.[1]
