Template talk:Ratified

From Warcraft Wiki

The ratified template doesn't reflect the Policy votes page. It should read something like, "Once the ratification time of one week has passed change the template...." There is nothing in the policy about implementation details, although it may want to make a comment like 'during this time voting is still open, but implementation details should be discussed in preparation of adoption" or something to that effect. --Ralthor 12:54, 7 May 2006 (EDT)

The purpose of this template has been changed. When a policy vote has been WON (enough votes, enough time has passed), it becomes RATIFIED. I.e. it's not going to change tomorrow because someone has changed his mind. "Ratified" now means that there might be some work left to be done (edit policy page, perhaps make some other changes around the wiki) before it can be "Adopted". (This matches the definition of "ratified" much better as it's used everywhere else in the world :-))   Ratified policies now end up in Category:Policies ratified but not implemented to be easily spotted. --Mikk 06:08, 7 June 2006 (EDT)
