Template talk:Hearthstone

From Warcraft Wiki

Putting this template into an article automatically includes it in Category:Hearthstone. Now, is there a way to cause it to not do that if the article is already in a subcategory to the HS category? E.g. Nexus-Champion Saraad, who is currently in both the "Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft" category, and in the "Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft>Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft characters>Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft legendary cards" category. Or maybe it's better to just not automatically include the category in the template at all and just add it manually to the article when needed? Hearthstone images

Given the amount of Hearthstone images that have so far been uploaded to the wiki (and they will almost certainly keep coming as new Hearthstone cards are released), I think it would be useful to make the template work like the {{TCG}} template currently does; having it say something like "This image is part of the Hearthstone collection" and automatically putting it into a "Hearthstone images" category when added to a file page. So far {{c-blizz}} has mostly been used for Hearthstone images, which I find to be a bit unsuitable due to its vagueness. I would make the Hearthstone template work this way myself, but I'm in no way familiar enough with the code to not completely break the template. Also, there would probably be a need for an addition to the "Select a file license" list when uploading images, just so you don't have to keep manually editing every image after uploading. -- IconSmall TrollDeathKnight Male.gif DeludedTroll (talkcontribs) 10:29, 2 December 2015 (UTC)
