Template too big

It's is for diambiguation pages, it's supposed to be big, the first thing people read, unavoidable, and obnoxiously so. It's the one and only header that exists on a disambiguation page and is always the most important part of a disambiguation page.

The issue is probably that people have used this template on pages that aren't disambiguation pages (so, they need to be corrected), and merely pages that may require a disambiguation link. In which case they should use {{i-note||Disambig|<links>}}*, or i'll just simplify that preset with {{I-disambig}}.

It is not supposed to be big. It needs only to be an one-liner where the user know it is a disambig page. This is the same reason we are shrinking the Burning Crusade template. --Voidvector 18:22, 27 January 2007 (EST)

It's nothing like the BC template, that template being too big would detract from the page's content, this does not, as this is a very important and functional part of it. It is supposed to be big, it is not acceptable as a one liner. I only decided to change this template because were complaining about its small size, that is wasn't clear or obvious when it needed to be, so they didn't realize, therefore clearly your view is not practical. --Zealtalkcontrweb 18:59, 27 January 2007 (EST)

I would have to agree with Zeal here - this template is one of the few where it should be, and is, the main part of the page. It should draw your eye and tell you that this is not a content page. When to use doc=

From the template documentation:

Use doc= when documenting this template and prevent categorizing.

This text, to me, is ambiguous (har, har). Does it mean there are two cases where this parameter can be used:

• When documenting this template
• When you want to prevent a disambiguation page from being put in the Disambiguations category

or was it intended for use only in one case

• When documenting this template, in order to prevent it being put in the Disambiguations category
