Not to be a pain, but {{AlsoSee}} is useful when a particular note in a page deserves further reference. Like a footnote, but with hyperlinking in mind.
A 'See Also section is useful for things the page as a whole indicates reference to. And even then, only if the thing you are referring to "can wait".
An example: Patch 2.1.2 (Undocumented Changes).

Before you alter the template ...
If you strongly feel that this template should be deprecated, examine all the pages that use it, first. I have strong feelings that it IS useful, for pages such as Morbent Fel quest chain. There ARE pages that use AlsoSee in ways that converting it into a section heading is not appropriate.
If you really feel any "see also" information should be in a section of its own, convert it wholesale and drop this template entirely. Leaving it in as a "convert this to a section" will encourage bad - hard to trace/edit - behavior. --Eirik Ratcatcher 19:40, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- More examples of where turning AlsoSee into a section creates bad style:
- Gem - multiple sections, immediate references
- Libram (item) - no sections, adding a section for the one line creates, IMO, bad style.
- Widget API, Dungeon_Set_2/Pants,_Shoulders_and_Boots, Quartermaster_Davian_Vaclav - immediate reference at the beginning of article; converting to section creates bad style, placing at end loses context and usefulness.
- Category:Stormreaver Europe Guilds, et many al - additional section on a category page is bizarre.
