Is it possible that Ulmat Thondr is another name for Stranglethorn Vale? Stranglethorn Vale matches the description of Ulmat Thondr perfectly. (Peninsula on southern Azeroth, jungle trolls...)Paulus 19:59, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

Could be.. But I'm quite sure Medivh mentions Stranglethorn Vale himself, after Khadgars vision of Medivh, Llane and Lothar adventuring in the vale.. -Rovdyr 20:57, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

Ya, Stranglethorn Vale is mentioned, as I recall. Ulmat Thondr is implied to be much farther south as well.Baggins (talk) 18:46, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

But there is nothing south of Stranglethorn Vale. Ulmat Thondr must then be part of it but classified as a seperate zone, perhaps around Booty Bay. Stranglethorn Vale in the novel probably means the northern part of what is in WoW, since "vale" means "valley", hence the valley of the Nazferiti River. It might have been considered a seperate region at one time, but personally I think Blizzard just forgot about Ulmat Thondr... In anycase it could just be a world scale issue. Generally speaking though Ulmat Thondr should be the penninsula at the southern tip if Azeroth, south of Booty Bay.Baggins (talk) 18:58, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
