i would like to say that this item (and the chain relating to it) are likely references to the BBC show doctor who. i mean, youre given an ultrasonic screwdriver and told it can "do anything to mechanical stuff". id even go so far as to say that the entire chain could be a reference to the cybermen of the same series.
