Talk:The Captain's Chest (quest)
I guess there's some uncertainty about the true level of this quest. I have it in my quest log right now, where it's sandwiched between The Bloodsail Buccaneers (4) and Akiris by the Bundle. Both of these other quests are listed as level 43, so I'm inclined to believe that The Captain's Chest is also 43. The objective of the quest is apparently a level 42 Elite mob and I know that wowhead lists the quest as level 42, but I think that must also be in error. Anyone know how to confirm the quest level?

OK, if we're sure that The Captain's Chest is 42, then the same must be true for The Bloodsail Buccaneers (4). Here's the order in my quest log for STV right now for my level 39 character, with what I'm thinking the quest levels are:
yellow:
- 40 Colonel Kurzen
- 40 The Curse of the Tides
- 40 Troll Witchery
- 41 Raptor Mastery (3)
- 41 Up to Snuff
- 41 Venture Company Mining
orange:
- 42 Keep an Eye Out
- 42 The Bloodsail Buccaneers (4)
- 42 The Captain's Chest (Group)
- 43 Akiris by the Bundle
red:
- 44 Voodoo Dues
- 44 Zanzil's Secret

- That was hard to read.. fixed that. Blizz doesn't always go in order, and over the years some quests (mostly the elite ones) have been reduced in level, but that doesn't mean they fix the quests before it. So they could have a chain that does 40, 41, 42, 41, 41, 45, 50. An individual quest within a chain doesn't determine the quest level of the others. However, in this case yes, The Bloodsail Buccaneers (4) is now level 42. (Sssss/Slithered) 02:44, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
