Why would Dath'Remar have a bow since he's a mage and/or sorcerer? Mr.X8 06:35, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

Because Blizzard said he did.   Zurr  TC 06:45, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

Wow what cool answer Zurr... Course, Ive heard better ones from people that actually know what they're talking about. Mr.X8 00:58, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Well i suposse he wasn't entirely a mage if he has a bow after all most characters don't have a stable class look at Thrall......or it was the bow of his whife(or other relative)(Marakanis)

First of all we see the racial leader of the High Elves, former Ranger General of Silvermoon (a hunter) wielding a shield but Sunstrider Longbow is what its name tells: the longbow of the Sunstrider Dinasty. Maybe an ancestor was not a mage but a ranger or somethink like this and the bow went down by generations till Dath'Remar. --N'Nanz 09:13, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
Or, Dath'Remar took up archery during his spare time, and learned how to use a bow. In lore and real life, things aren't as static as RPG-style concepts of "classes". ...or if you must stick to RPG style concepts perhaps he "multi-classed", and is more than just a magic user.Baggins 16:52, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Think of it like this, A construction worker that only builds buildings, might still play a guitar in his spare time, yet if someone asks him about what he does for a living he wouldn't say he is a proffesional rock guitar player.. -Rovdyr 23:14, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Deathwhisper

Sylvanas uses a bow named "Deathwhisper" in the TCG (http://www.wowtcg.com/articles/2011/02/18/assault-icecrown-citadel-raid). Is this a different weapon, or has Sylvanas renamed her old bow? Egrem (talk) 06:56, 25 February 2011 (UTC)

I think Deathwhisper is newly made up, and the Sunstrider's Longbow may be a scrapped minor detail, but I am not sure.--SWM2448 20:33, 25 February 2011 (UTC)

Is the Longbow mentioned anywhere other than in the RPG? (Luxor(t/c) 19:15, 13 January 2012 (UTC))
