SUPER easy.. (after i died 3 times trying to get it right) with 0% armor i was able to complete. Like method 2 says.. just get on the backside of the gate and use the cannon on the Subduer. The gate will block any damage from him. Just sit there and keep sucking his life out.

5% he walks away and just follow him. 1% he goes through.

If you are in air, only the subduer will attack so don't worry about the ground forces.

This no longer seems to be true; I was on the back of the gate three times, and the fireballs knocked me off all three. The last time I was standing half off the back of the stone, (the mount's rear end hanging in space) and got tossed right off the edge of the world entirely. --Azaram 04:14, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

Ok, it IS still true; just a couple of caveats. As soon as you hit him with the soul cannon, he's going to toss several fireballs at you. You have to avoid these, and the fire they leave where they hit, or be knocked off your mount. If you do that, then you can just sit on the backside of the top of the portal and drain him down, he'll stand there and try and cripple you repeatedly. About 10% he started walking away from the gate, I followed him and drained him down to 1%, and he turned and went into it. Amusingly, my windrider now seems to be stuck in 'standing on the ground' mode; sort of skating along in the air with wings folded. --Azaram 06:59, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
