Talk:Stonetalon centaur

There a lore source that says these guys aren't part of the five current clans of centaur, since to my knowledge the clans were created after warcraft 3 was made and could very well be meant to include the stonetalon centaur and centaur maruders.Tweak the Whacked (talk) 20:01, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

Official lore is mixed up for centaurs. Blizzard has produced two official origination stories for centaurs, and more than five clans. Its very hard to pinpoint any clan to either centaur background. Stonetalon centaurs represented a small faction mentioned in the quest text of Warcraft III as I recall (as I recall you had to wipe them out for bonus objective). It had its own "khan" a sign of it being its own tribe. Anycase simply being mentioned in Warcraft III, it diserves its own article.Baggins (talk) 20:16, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

Fair enough. I'm going to add a speculation tag saying that they may have been meant to represent one of the five clans, or could be a splinter group of the original five, if thats alright.Tweak the Whacked (talk) 20:20, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

Speculation wise you need to also point out the other official legends to be fair. No pidgeonholing them to the legend you like better. They could have originated off the the centaur, or cenarius.Baggins (talk) 20:23, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
