Talk:Soul

I believe the Ghost page should be merged with this page. Ghosts are tortured souls. They are souls who, instead of being released to the Shadowlands (or wherever else the specific soul was supposed to go), are forced to wander endlessly the physical world and beyond. They are a subset of souls, so the tiny little paragraph that describes them on the Ghost page should go under the Ghost section on this page, I believe. -- MyMindWontQuiet (talk) 23:01, 19 January 2017 (UTC)

Come on, ghost and souls are two different things Xporc (talk) 23:08, 19 January 2017 (UTC)
The very first line of the article is "Ghosts are tortured spirits" ? What would you say the difference is ? Ghosts are just lost (for whatever reason, sometimes a curse, etc.) souls.
- Many times the souls captured by Frostmourne for example manifested in the form of ghost, the most famous one being Terenas.
- Another example is the human expedition's souls forced to wander endlessly in hellfire peninsula :
"Near the end of our invasion, the Armory to the south fell under attack by the Horde's insidious Death Knights. Those vile shades cursed the Armory's defenders - and trapped their souls between the realms of the living and the dead."
"Those noble souls must be set free!"
"we can't allow the spirits to continue to wander."
Their souls = the ghosts we meet. Ghosts are (visible) souls, literally. (source : A [10-30] Unyielding Souls) -- MyMindWontQuiet (talk) 23:14, 19 January 2017 (UTC)
Even if all ghosts are souls, not all souls are ghosts. PeterWind (talk) 23:44, 19 January 2017 (UTC)
Yup, correct. If you take a look at the current Soul article you would notice sections, "Demon souls", "Wild God souls", and "Ghosts". So we put what little stuff there is in the Ghost page under the Ghost section of this page, and that's all. -- MyMindWontQuiet (talk) 00:25, 20 January 2017 (UTC)
I still (respectfully) disagree. A ghost is a creature type, a soul is something bigger. I mean, we have a page about puffer fishs because "puffer fish" is a creature type instead of just having a blurb about it on the Beast page, for example. Xporc (talk) 08:36, 20 January 2017 (UTC)
Alright, it sounded like you were saying the reason you didn't want the merging was because they were different things. It's more about specialization then. All good. -- MyMindWontQuiet (talk) 19:08, 20 January 2017 (UTC)
Yes. Sorry if I seemed to mean something else, English isn't my native langage! Xporc (talk) 19:24, 20 January 2017 (UTC)
