Fishing pool

A Fishing pool marks a location where fishing yields particular results different from the rest of the local area. The type of pool, shown in a tooltip when the cursor is over it, determines the type of fishing results. Most fishing pools whose yield is some form of fish are named "School of <that fish>", though exceptions exist.

All fishing pools are marked on the surface by expanding 'rings'. Fishing pools that mostly yield fish also have a circling column of fish underneath the rings, whereas pools that mostly yield items also show flotsam and wreckage at the surface. The [Find Fish] skill allows a character to track Fishing Pools on the mini-map.

Most Schools of Fish (including the ambiance schools below) use the same plain fish model. The Red Snappers in a School of Red Snapper use a red skin on the fish model.
