Talk:Scalding Rock Elemental

Does anyone know when Blizzard changed these mobs so that mining them doesn't earn skill points in Mining? I know for a fact that at the start of Cataclysm and at least mid-way through that expansion, I was able to skill up Mining on two characters by killing and mining these elementals. Not sure when, but I'm pretty sure earning skill points was removed from mining and herbing creatures.
