Why does it say she most of the time. It should be "he" not "she" since High Elves are ALMOST the opposites of Night Elves and the Night Elves held girls in more respect then dudes. I think... (Mr.X8 22:30, 26 May 2007 (UTC))

It doesn't use "she" most of the time, but where it uses she it describes epic rangers, the picture of an epic ranger is that of a female high elf. Generally the most famous of rangers that we know of have been females, as well.Baggins

Actually many of them are called rangers. Ranger Jaela, the Silvermoon Rangers, Eversong Rangers...etc. But I guess its moot since they're listed on the Ranger page anyway. XD--Blayaden 22:19, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

They really are druidic

I remember reading somewhere that rangers aren't very druidic, theyre only like druidic because they love nature and that stuff. But while watching 2 Highvale Rangers kill a Horde, they used a lot of druid powers, like heal, fairie fire, and entangling roots.

I did, but it didnt mention anything on how they were druidic, it just said they practiced it. And to be a druid, you don't have to be able to shape shift. Mr.X8 22:18, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

Animal Growth, Commune with Nature, Speak with Animals, [Mark of the Wild], Speak with Plants, Summon Nature's Ally I, Summon Nature's Ally II, Summon Nature's Ally III, and Summon Nature's Ally IV.

I think its also worth mentioning the parallels between rangers in tabletop Dungeons and Dragons(DND), and the rangers in warcraft (since both Wow and the latest rules are made by Blizzard.) In DND when you reach level 2 you are given a choice to either specialize in close combat (where you get the two handed fighting ability), or ranged combat (where you get the multishot ability.) As you level up you get improved two handed fighting/manyshot. From what I've seen in warcraft- this is also true, there are rangers like the Highvale Ranger and Eversong Ranger who are melee specific(Dual Wielding), and you have the High Elf Ranger and Silvermoon Ranger are ranged specific (marksmanship specialty). In DND Rangers share several abilites with Druids (as mentioned earlier) and also with Rogues with high level rangers being able to learn the feat "hide in plain sight," and improved bonuses to move silently.--Blayaden 22:19, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

In WoW

Could we possibly add something about the rangers guarding Allerian Stronghold. They are at the top of the walls wearing camouflage like greens and browns and have a bow. I did not see a meele weapon though. Mr.X8 01:42, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

This article is mainly about elven rangers. The only reason its redirected to "ranger" is because there is a human ranger in history.Baggins 04:18, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

The allerian stronghold rangers are just regular rangers. But if you use their correct NPC title your welcome to create an article for them following the NPC guidelines. Just don't make up any name for them.Baggins 18:52, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

After adding the High Elf Ranger page, I realized that I had put them in the generic mob category! I'm pretty sure they're guards, so I changed the information on them. Everything should be correct now.--Blayaden 23:47, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

Other Human rangers

Added a {{fact}} to the passage about the high elves planing to train other human rangers. Went through the Blightcaller questline text and found no evidence of this. Is this just speculation?Warthok Talk Contribs 22:48, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

There really aren't that many sources that even mention human rangers. You already mentioned in the MMO. But as far as I know the RPG only states Nathanos Blightcaller was the first human ranger.
