The "rite of om'riggor becomes available at age 20" line is incorrect.

Nothing on page 20 of the book delineates that the om'riggor occurs at age 20.

Piecing together all of the specific and relative time references used in the text of Rise of the Horde, we can extrapolate this:

1. At age six, orcs begin learning how to use weapons.
2. At age twelve, young orcs can join in the less-dangerous hunts for talbuk.
3. Orgrim and Durotan became friends at the autumn Kosh'harg. Their friendship continues into the next summer. When they encounter the ogre during their contest in Terokkar Forest, Durotan recalled going on the talbuk hunts, but wasn't yet of the age to join in the hunts against the ogres or gronn. This implies that there is a non-trivial gap in time between when an orc participates in the talbuk hunts and when he can join the ogre hunts.
4. Orgrim and Durotan undergo their om'riggor (in summer and autumn respectively) after meeting the draenei.
5. Orgrim and Durotan's first Kosh'harg as adults is once again in the autumn.

What's concrete is that Orgrim and Durotan are both older than twelve when they perform the om'riggor.

What's not as concrete is whether or not they had participated in the talbuk hunts before they became friends, since that happened in the last year before they participated in the om'riggor.

Conclusion: It is safe to operate under the assumption that an orc who has passed his/her om'riggor is at least twelve. It is probably more feasible that the age for the om'riggor is greater than that, but no other concrete evidence is given to delineate what it could be.

Yea, there's certainly a bit of a gap between 12 and Om'riggor. It might not specifically be an age-related thing since they're considered more-or-less adults by 12 (the artificial aging). Like age 12 is the minimum, but you must also complete X number of group hunts. I'm pretty sure they don't let just any orc old enough do the Om'riggor. There's plenty of laborers/craftsmen/non-hunters. --Aquamonkeyeg (talk) 20:14, 19 January 2015 (UTC)

In-game references?

There are in-game references to om'riggor that I'd like to add, but I am not certain how to incorporate them into the article since the whole article is tagged as content from novels/short-stories. The Mount entries for riding talbuks and  [Faded Note] - don't add substantial information on the subject, but I think it would be neat to include them. Aliok (talk) 23:51, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
