Talk:Neptulon the Tidehunter

This is just a hunch but I think Neptulon is the force behind Azshara. I think she'll turn out to be very much like a Majordomo battle where the real boss needs to be summoned. One of the big storyline problems with summoning another Elemental Lieutenant is the amount of power needed to summon one (remember the effort the dwarves had to summon ragnaros not to mention the following explosion?). Azshara is defined in the series as being incredibly strong, even stronger than all the demons except Kil'jaeden, Archimonde, and Sargerus, She would probably have the power to summon Neptulon. We already know the Old Gods or one of their emisaries was responsible for transformation of the Naga. On a final note Neputlon might prove to be an appropriate lvl 70 or 80 raid boss because Ragnaros is defined as a "mere shadow" of his true self. Neptulon being summoned through the great maelstrom might be drastically more powerful or at least a "truer" form of himself.

I'm not sure if this is an official piece of Blizzard artwork, and I couldn't find it on sonsofthestorm.com, though I could see it being done by samwise. If anyone can confirm if this is official artwork, could I put it up on the page? Omacron

That's the image they show for him in the Shadows & Light RPG book. Not exactly sure how official that makes it (I'm still new to all this, heh), but I guess it's official (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Maenos 16:33, 1 August 2006 (EDT)

Yes, the picture is official. It appears on page 102 of Shadows & Light. Although a few of Samewise's pictures also appear in that book, this one wasn't done by him. Doesn't make it any less official, though. --Foogray 19:09, 24 September 2006 (EDT)

Me again, signs point to Murmur being a boss in Auchindoun: http://www.thottbot.com/beta?s=murmur there're two level 70 blues with "Murmur" in the title, one aptly named "Auchindoun Shadow Labyrinth Lvl 70 Murmur Caster Sword". Plus, there are two very powerful skills, Murmur's Suppression which knockbacks 5 targets and Murmur's Wrath which instantly kills a target.

Prove it. To me, it just looks like a water themed Ragnaros, it isn't confirmed that it's Neptulon, especially with that picture I posted a while ago.
