Necessary?
Is this article necessary? It kind of seems convenient to have the kill videos with the boss itself. This hasn't done for other instances as well, to my knowledge, and hasn't been a problem (or has it?). Finally, I'm not sure I fully understand the intent. If we do it for kill movies, then it seems we should also do it for boss-guides as well... -- User:Adonran/Sig1 19:28, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
- To add further to this... perhaps it would be convenient to put it in both places. As a precedent, see how we do loot. Ex.: Loot for all of Zul'Aman, and the loot for Halazzi. -- User:Adonran/Sig1 19:32, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
- Just thought it would be nice to have the list together and not as unformated links at the end of each boss article. The external link list of Illidan for instance was huge with all the videos. It's my first greater contribution and it would be no problem for me when it's gonna be deleted/undo. -- Furizaa

. And in hindsight I see what you mean -- it is nice to collect everything together in one page (not sure if you plan on doing the other instances too though? including Pre-BC?). - Yes, i will add the other instances as well in the near future. For WoW-Vanilla content i have to check if the videos are still online. Of course we can add the videos to the bossarticles too, but then please in a more organized form

- Absolutely, we should link to this article from the individual boss pages! What do you think is the best way to do so? And yes, on the individual boss pages we should organize them in a clear manner as well. Check out some of the Zul'Aman articles such as Akil'Zon#Videos, where it has a small sub-section for videos. -- User:Adonran/Sig1 23:01, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
- Sub-section for videos looks nice, but we encounter a little problem. The fact, that you have the information on 2 different pages (boss-page and movie-page) forces you to also maintain these 2 pages. So is there a user who is posting his video on the boss-page, there is a extra amount of work to do to maintain the video-page. Perhaps we can use templates for each boss (e.g. 'Killmovie:Kel'thas Sunstrider') and include them in the boss-page and gather them together in the videos-page. Furthermore, is there a way to use sections as templates? So we can just add 'Bosskill_Movies#Kel'thas_Sunstrider' to the boss-article. This would make things a lot easier. - Fine by me. The pages that collect all the loot in an instance have not done this, but then again that's a lot more "static" data. I'd ask on the Village Pump for how to best do this, and also for technical help. -- User:Adonran/Sig1 01:27, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
