What it says about Halters not attacking you if you don't attack him doesn't mesh with my own experience. I ran down the dock onto the boat in Theramore, which is impossible to do without drawing the agro of the guards there since there are several of them standing between you and the boat. After I got onboard, Halters shot at me and kept shooting me until I ran into the cabin at the top of the boat and out of his line of sight.
It's possible that he only agroed me since the guards on the dock were already going after me and he's programmed to attack who they attack. I'll have to walk up to him sometime when I'm out of combat and see if he does anything in response.--Illidan Rocks 07:15, 16 December 2007 (UTC)
- Its possible that the ship guards actually do defend while others are being attacked, be it players or NPCs, but my experiences with the guards show that not only do they not attack me while I stand right on them, but they also don't attack when I kill the other guards aboard the ship (right in front of them). It's also possible that the guards weren't programmed the same way, and react differently from each other.
