There was a general misconception that the Main Assist helps other players by taking aggro. I have now cleaned up that. I also cleaned up discussion below regarding being able to DPS and hold aggro, which is irrelevant. I have quit editing, but The end of this page might be a good place for this macro. I found it on the wiki, and used it all the time... Later I was going to point some friends at it and it was gone. /focus [modifier:alt]
/stopmacro [modifier:alt]
/assist focus

To use this You place the macro on a keyboard controlled hot key. To set the MA, first target the MA. While holding down the Alt key hit the Macro key. Then when ever you want to assist the MA hit the macro Key. This Seems to be the best you can do after the 2.0 patch. StrCat 20:46, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
