Many quests are removed, maybe we can create an archive section?

[Nardon1]: So, unfortunately after the Cataclysm expansion many of these notable quests have been removed from the game. Luckily many new have been added but the current list is still written as if the quests are still active. I think this page needs a bit of a cleanup to make some kind of archive section (or move them to a different page altogether) to seperate the removed quests from the ones that are still in game.

On the other side, this will also make room to add new quests! Some of the many new quest lines are pretty fun and might fit this category of long and exceptional quests. If you know any that would fit here, please post! Maybe we can get another discussion going, with a new list like this as a result. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nardon1 (talk · contr).

I love this list, regardless of its out of dateness - it's a great reference for new players to get a taste of some of the things they missed, and it's great nostalgia for us old schoolers :) It certainly would be a good idea to reflect the fact that they've been removed where appropriate, but let's just make sure we don't delete them entirely!
Blizzard's modern content style tends to have more cohesive stories going on, so it's hard to say where a now-standard zonewide plotline crosses that line into "long" or "exceptional". For instance, releasing the Klaxxi paragons is a great story, but it basically comprises 90% of the Dread Wastes quests - does it really need to be highlighted separately? Something like Wrathion's cloak quest chain qualifies, I suppose.
Really, to fully contextualize the contents of this article you would want to write a whole damn essay on how Blizzard's design style has changed over the expansions, but that wouldn't be very encyclopedic :) I suppose it suffices to just add a section for removed quests, and just let readers wonder why there's barely any current content there... - jerodast (talk) 22:39, 19 June 2014 (UTC)
