Talk:Improved Drain Soul (warlock talent)

From Warcraft Wiki

I remember when I was a lowbie warlock and had this talent that it used to proc all the time. It seemed as though drain soul itself didn't necessarily require the final hit all the time.
Anyway this talent tends to give very inconsistent results. Are there any warlocks out there who would be willing to take one for the team and log some research to post on the wiki?
I would do it myself, but I just respeced to my raid build and don't have the gold to respec again. --Arandmoor 14:16, 21 March 2006 (EST)

I am sorry I misplaced my comment and I think I found out how to edit the text properly. --recluso 16:00, 28 December 2006

The note was purely outdated by 2.0.1. I also remove some of the functionality text: Destruction spec Warlocks and [Shadow Bolt] spammers are going to have a hard time with this, while Affliction specialists (who don't specialise in dealing damage in large, non-soul draining, foe-slaying chunks) will find it extremely handy. --recluso 16:05, 28 December 2006

What does this talent actually do? LoneGamer 19:14, 6 February 2007 (EST)

Just what it says. If the mob dies while you are channeling, you get mana back (i.e. if you get a shard, you get mana). The thread modifier though is really what I like though being as I constantly pull aggro. <_< Viper007Bond 06:58, 9 May 2007 (EDT)
