Is this idol likely to provide more healing from Leader of the Pack than  [Idol of the Claw] does more damage? --Azaram 13:52, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

The Heal from Improved Leader of the Pack is always only proportional to your max health, neither the Tree of Life aura nor the improvement from this idol enhance that. ~ Nathanyel 19:08, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
I actually goofed; what I meant was  [Idol of the Wild], not claw. Basically, what I was asking although I phrased it badly, is is the 9 crit chance likely to boost it's healing enough to make it worth changing out for the Wild. (This was also Azaram, signed Azaram.)
I think as you should have a decent amount of Agility as a tank anyway, the +crit from this idol doesn't do much to your aura-heal, because of the 6-second-CD, you crit enough (especially when swiping) to keep the cooldown busy at mostly all times, the best benefit for this idol is to improve your group's physical damage output, so unless there are not many physical damage dealers in your group, or you have problems with keeping your aggro, you should stick with this idol anyway, it's "raid-friendly". For better aggro, use Wild, if rather alone in the phys-dmg field as a cat, use  [Everbloom Idol], better damage against mobs/bosses that don't run around that much. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nathanyel (talk · contr).
Although actually, I guess I was reading it wrong...was thinking that '9 crit rating' applied to the chance for ILotP to crit... but now I think it adds to the ILotP aura a 9 crit rating for everyone affected by it? "Straighten me, 'cause I'm bent." --Azaram 04:37, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
Just to remind you, ILotP could only crit during a short period after the release of 2.0, that and the third talent point (6% heal) sadly got nerfed. As you said, it grants 9 crit rating to everyone affected by the LotP aura (doesn't have anything to do with improved LotP directly) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nathanyel (talk · contr).
I'm an agility bargain shopper anyway; unless it's an enormous amount, I'd rather have agility than +crit or most anything else, as it gives armor, and +crit and +hit etc... Strength gives AP and damage, but agility gives so much more for the same amount. In my Strength of the Clefthoof kit at the moment, I have around 25% dodge anyway.
I don't have the Everbloom idol yet, so I'll probably be sticking with my Idol of the Wild for solo ZOMGKITTIESMEWMEWMEW anyway... 9 crit rating at level 70 is less than .5% anyway (0.41% per AmpWow's caluclator). I also remember the same thing about ILotP not being able to crit anymore... but it's not mentioned anywhere in the patch notes on the official site[1] now. I looked before I posted the original message and again just now. I haven't seen it crit anyway, but I was surprised it wasn't there... --Azaram 04:11, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
True, (feral) druids benefit from pure stats the most (exceptions: hit and def rating, which don't have a "pure stat" counterpart), as we e.g. get almost 1 crit rating out of 1 Agility, plus the other ratings from Agi, like AP in cat or dodge in bear.</smartass> ~ Nathanyel 06:43, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
Isn't the healing+40 is already being fixed by 3.1.0? Gspbeetle (talk) 13:58, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
