First 5 kills

IMO this section is redundant here and should be reserved only for final bosses like Lady Vashj. There is no such section at e.g. Maulgar, Skeram, Anub'Rekhan or Attumen - only at final bosses like Nightbane or Gruul.
(BTW: Nihilum downed him on February 15th, not 16th -- Awake posted bosskill message just after midnight, on 16th@12:35AM and on their DKP site it's filed under 15th). -- Vysogota 20:19, 16 February 2007 (EST)

Enrage?

Does this boss have an Enrage timer? Stillfresh 18:50, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

Resistance gear for add tanks?

Is it needed? Some guilds on my server use 120/120, some 150/150 mix gear for add tanks. Is the add's damage mitigated by armor? There is no craftable resistance gear for druids, making it harder to get equip for them. Damage mitigation by armor would reduce their need for resistance. Tifi 00:04, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

I don't think elemental "physical" attacks are ever mitigated by armor. Stillfresh 18:55, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
Indeed, they are not. For damage mitigation, warriors are much better, considering Defensive Stance and Imp. Defensive Stance (90%*94% = 84.6%, which means druids take 18% more dmg). Tifi 01:27, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
There are still craftable rings/necklaces. However, while less reliable, it may in fact be easier to equip druid tanks, with a bit of luck on the AH, as their requirement for being uncritable is easier to reach. Flowers 21:02, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

Invisibility potion

[Lesser Invisibility Potion] works perfecly fine, and is much easier to farm. The extra 3s are not needed. Tifi 23:35, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

relocating resist gear info

I've moved the resist gear list off the main page, to Hydross_the_Unstable/Resistance_Gear. This should help clean up the article a bit, while retaining easy access to all the information. --Phaze 16:04, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

"Hydross the Unstable"

Does he really need to be referred to as "Hydross the Unstable" in bold face every other sentence? This makes the article somewhat annoying to read. Tachase 00:33, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

Add Tanking

Add tanks don't need much/any resistance gear if you can quickly kill the adds. In fact, they don't even need to be tanks, just have a fair bit of health and have the ability to hold aggro (although healers should be careful to watch the health of less hardy add tanks). Resilience gear can help a lot, both for more stamina and to prevent (or at least reduce the chance of) crits.

One of the hardest part of the fight is controlling the adds - having one person assigned to each position makes it very easy to handle them (and you can save a tank spot by having the off-phase main tank handle one of the adds).

Exploiting Bugs

Wowwiki should not be encouraging the use of, or even identifying bugs before they are fixed, as this may cause people to try and figure out the methods with which to do so.

As such, the section according to which Hydross can currently be soloed has been removed, and I beg that no mention of this bug be made on any pages whatsoever until Blizzard officially states that it is fixed.

If it has already been fixed, then please file the bug properly under the "changes" section.
