Talk:Hillsbrad (subzone)

Region name

I believe that the town was named Hillsbrad in early versions of the game, and was later changed to Hillsbrad Fields in some patch. Can anyone confirm this? If this is the case, then the two separate articles should be merged. --Nyquill 17:55, 14 May 2007 (EDT)

Well you are right about the area being simply called Hillsbrad Fields in the game from what I can tell. However the  [24] Battle of Hillsbrad mentions the town of Hillsbrad as well. So they are somewhat the same and somewhat different locations. I'm not sure if the town gets one of those subzone titles or not, and can't check right now. However I merged them right now, as the hillsbrad from Warcraft II is significantly different than the town in WoW, being an old port town. Most sources do not even mention any town of Hillsbrad after the Second War, stating that Southshore is the capitol of the region.

This may require some more work, and some page disambuagation, since the term "Hillsbrad" by itself can actually have several different meanings.Baggins (talk) 21:33, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Couldn't it be that Hillsbrad itself got destroyed in the second war and that some people went to Southshore(making it a bigger town and the capital) and some people rebuilt the city somewhat north of the old town, where the remains of their farms were. They could also prefer not to live so close to the sea anymore because they had bad memories of it.Mezirsha (talk) 14:49, February 25, 2010 (UTC)

Old Hillsbrad

Since the old Hillsbrad is missing in the game, could it have been destroyed during the third war? That would explain it not existing. After looking at the world map, it seems Hillsbrad would have been directly south of Azurelode Mine. {{subst:User:Killermidget/Sig}} 09:53, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
