Yes, that's most likely the case, Blizzard seem to re-use allot of stuff from previous games, altough, the Dry Hills in D2 is the second subzone,

the first one is the "Rocky Waste", which begins when u leave the gate of Lut Gholein, the desert town. Altough Dry Hills is teh first outdoor zone found in Act II with a waypoint teleport. --Aquril (talk) 12:50, 3 April 2013 (UTC)
