I call it 'Happycoil'. --Super Bhaal 11:47, 14 April 2007 (EDT)

Possible changes

Is it possible that this spell was secretly changed? On thottbot it appears to be a Magic effect, whereas it previously was unclassified. Furthermore its effect is called "Apply Aura: Mod Fear", indicating that it is a normal [Fear] effect now. I haven't seen any mention of changes to this spell in recent patch notes, but I may just had overlooked them. --bfx 15:34, 24 January 2007 (EST)

Ehh, I've heard from a friend that it can be broken by means of some rogue talent. Took the information with a grain of salt, but I hope this helps. --Super Bhaal 17:26, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

Wrong wording?

Is it just me or does this spell seem to heal you for around 300% the damage done (+ more with armor spell)? I mean I thought it was useless till i hit it mid battle and went from almost no health to full bar. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by JaggerJaw (talk · contr).

The spell's very useful in that it's an instant cast fear regardless of spec, interrupting anything, can heal you fora decent amount providing you have good SP, and deals a nice slice of damage, making it essential in PvP Oakpack4 (talk) 23:48, May 10, 2010 (UTC)

New spell effect

In what patch was Death Coil's spell effect changed from Shadow Bolt-like to the green one? Look, I've found that it should have been somewhere in TBC, between the time of Drakedog 7 and 8. In Drakedog 7, it was an old effect (proof) and in Drakedog 8, already a new one (proof). Drakedog 7 was uploaded at WCM on Jun 30, 2007 (link) and Drakedog 8 was ready on Sep 12, 2008 (link). It was somewhere in between patches 2.1.2 and 2.4.3.--Adûnâi (talk) 20:31, 6 February 2015 (UTC) In fact, it was earlier than patch 2.4.0 judging by this video.--Adûnâi (talk) 23:26, 18 February 2015 (UTC)
