Talk:Data mining
Words
i did a little search about the word datamine, because i wasn't familiar with it.
i found out that its not actually one word, but two. "Data" + "mine" and it should be used like that.
from wikipedia :
Data mining (DM), also called Knowledge-Discovery in Databases (KDD) or Knowledge-Discovery and Data Mining, is the process of automatically searching large volumes of data for patterns such as association rules. It is a fairly recent topic in computer science but applies many older computational techniques from statistics, information retrieval, machine learning and pattern recognition.

- That info is accessible to everyone through that website, and Blizzard apparently allows automated data retrieval, since they're providing XML files. ~ ŋɑϑ 13:18, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
The view...er
I would assume that this covers the model-viewer, hence the removal of the page? Personally I think that the page itself should have stayed without it's own content, possibly replaced by screenshots of the TOS/EULA prohibtions against it?SargeLIVES (talk) 21:50, September 30, 2009 (UTC)
- WoW Model Viewer was removed?--SWM2448 21:54, September 30, 2009 (UTC)

When did Blizzard...
I know Blizzard has this policy. They attacked the Wrath of the Lich King wiki over it. However, does Blizzard state this anywhere? PSH aka Kimera 757 (talk) contribs) 01:42, March 16, 2010 (UTC)
- It is in the World of Warcraft Terms of Use, under article 2 section C. WoWWiki also received this takedown notice.--SWM2448 02:44, March 16, 2010 (UTC)
