Anyone have a holy hand grenade of Antioch on hand? :pBaggins 20:37, 1 January 2007 (EST)

lore-category

This is not a lore article, and so should be immediately removed from that category. It is related to a little map created for arcade-play over battle.net, and not in any way at all affiliated with any warcraft-lore.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by NerdKnight Xavier (talk · contr).

Lore is also term used for "background story". Blizzard is known to have create snippets of "lore" for many of their own multiplayer maps in their Warcraft RTS games, this one included, although how much of it has a relationship to main Warcraft universe storyline is unclear (but since it has "lore" of some sort it is marked under "lore").

Tell me, is Azeroth Grand Prix lore, then? Does that mean Diablo the Lord of Terror is actually part of the Warcraft lore? Of course, that must also mean that there are hydralisks in the Warcraft Universe (one was in Ashenvale, totally canon!!!)? What about space marines, chaos space orcs and zerglings (they appeared in a secret lore scene, totally canon!!1!)?
The answer is no, and as such I think that articles such as this should be removed from the "lore category".--Wulfang SoL (talk) 19:37, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
I think {{Warcraft III}} could be subdivided into something that marks ambiguously canon official bonus maps. As it is, Category:Lore is very general, and many types of things are thrown into it. In my opinion, with the steampunk army direction the Burning Legion is taking, as opposed to the Diablo-esque structure they were presented as having in WCIIIx, space fel/chaos orcs may come to exist...--SWM2448 21:15, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
Murloc marines, Tyrael pet and things like that, including bunnies, should be included in a special category. For god's sake, they're not part of the universe. Something like extras, under each game's own category would be ok. Of course they're part of the lore, but they aren't part of the universe, just jokes or universe-wise senseless extras.
I'm not asking for removal, I want them at the wiki. I'm just asking for a policy on a new categorization.--Lon-ami (talk) 10:30, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
