Talk:Base mana

Does anyone know how to calculate base mana from your race and level and / or whatever else it may be derived from? Even a table of base mana for each race at level 70 would be fine.

Thanks, Kevlar

To calculate this value, you first have to check the talents and enchantments that increase your total mana and correctly deduce this value from you maximum mana. Then you simply need to substract the mana gained from intellect from this value to get the base mana. Xtrochu (talk) 09:52, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

Can someone verify the recently-changed values here? Last I checked (last week sometime), the few spells that my mage has that cost a percent of base mana still indicated 2241 base mana at 70 (not 1961). (E.g., Slow at 20% of base, or 448 mana at 70.) Wevah (talk) 19:50, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

The numbers listed in the table are most assuredly incorrect now. For example, on my live paladin Crusader Strike (8% of base) costs 236 mana. If we use the numbers provided here the cost should be 214. The base mana of a paladin on live is most assuredly 2953, so whoever ran these numbers failed pretty badly.
